Wow, what a year; thank you Oxford!

There have been 876 hires so far this year! We have just one sling library session remaining this Friday 16th December at St Albans Hall, from 12.15pm until 2.15pm. Do try to pop in as we have a delicious festive feast, fantastic selection of slings, celestial and seasonal tunes from local Celtic harp and flute player: Claire Planquette and some newly trained peer supporters and consultants to help you with your slings.

Josie (Oxford Sling Library HQ) spent 4x days with Je Porte Mon Bebe last week learning about their Original wrap, Basic wrap, short Original wrap, Little Wrap Without a Knot (ring sling) and their Physio Carrier. JPMBB teach breastfeeding in a sling as a crucial element to the training as well as seated sideways and off-centre positioning in the sling. Here’s a fantastic vid for what’s possible using the JPMBB Original wrap.

Admin stars, Lucy and Claire, completed their Babywearing Advocacy/Peer Support practical training day with Emily from Trageschule. Now they are equipped with all sorts of information relevant to the sling library environment including how to teach parents to use a stretchy or woven wrap. If you’d like to join the next training session, details can be found here. The day workshop is in addition to four online training dates in 2017.
