Barracks Lane Community Garden is nestled within a residential area, right by the cycle path, a surprising wonder for those who venture to find it.
Oxford Sling Meet are collaborating with Oxford Attachment Parenting Oxford UK – Kangaroo Playgroup
and inviting all sling-wearing parents for a natter on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of the month, from 11am-1pm.
Children of all ages are here spending time in the big sandpit, in the rowing boat, in the willow den and in the hexagonal wooden hut.

How to Find It
The Garden is on Barracks Lane and can be accessed via Cumberland Road, off Cowley Road (and not the Holloway end of Barracks Lane). Go to the end of Cumberland Road, turn left onto Barracks Lane. The garden is situated in the corner where the Barracks Lane road meets the Barracks Lane footpath.
There are regular bus services to the Cowley Road from Oxford City Centre and Blackbird Leys, the nearest bus stop is Howard Street.

There are enormous stripey ‘Welcome’ gates at the end of the alleyway of paintings. This gate is always kept closed so that there is a safe enclosed zone for the children. It may look closed from the cycle path but please venture in to discover this beautiful garden.
